User Reviews: Forget About It
What a voice!
I am a big fan of Alison Krauss and Union Station. I am suprised that nobody is reviewing her music for yahoo. AKUS is on the cutting edge of Bluegrass. It is my hope that they don't try to cross over (in a permenant way) to country and pop music. They have an original sound and I like it. This album and the next one (New Favorite) took a few listenings to get use to because it is going for something different than the earlier albums. I'm sorry that I can't articulate what that "something different" is, but this review is a bit off the cuff. Don't get me wrong, I love Alison Krauss and came to love bluegrass through her voice. This album had to grow on me, but once I had a good listen, I really enjoy going back to it over and over again.
