I am a decent baseball fan and I've watched Bull Durham and Field of Dreams and this one did it for me too. And, I don't think any actor other than Mr. Costner could have done better.

I'm not a HUGE Kevin Costner fan but this movie was fantastic...it was a great baseball movie and I do know you have to understand baseball a little to get into it but it was a great love story...I cried from the time it began until the end...it ended like a movie was suppose to...with all these sorry movies out there this day and time thanks Kevin for making a love story that shows the world that there are men out there that can still love a woman totally and completely..

When is he going to give up and spare the world any more exceptionally crap films? I decided to give this one a chance because I LOVE Field of Dreams and Bull Durham. DON'T BOTHER!!! This movie is not even in the same league! It is contrived and poorly constructed, and of course Costner's acting is diabolical. I couldn't even finish the film, watching it was too painful. Kevin, you've hit an all-time low. Time to throw in the towel, mate.

Still not Costner's big comeback movie, but worthy of a viewing. The romance is a little cliched, but I did admire how the filmmakers were able to show Costner's love for the game he played all his life. The film does raise interesting points on what the most important things are in life and how a person must sometimes walk away from them.

I love baseball and I love this film! This movie is different from all the others because you experience baseball from a player's point of view rather than a fans. Kevin Costner does a exceptional job by showing the viewers such compassion, and dedication for America's favorite past-time!
I cried! I almost wished I was a MLB player to feel that way about something.
The romance in the film was realistic and not over-played, which
makes the movie outstanding! Kelly Preston is so charming! See the movie even if your not crazy about baseball!
