Pro Reviews: Flying the Flag

  • All Music Guide

A veteran outfit as the '80s dawned, this British quartet can't seem to decide what to play: blues, soul, or pop. "I Love You," written by bassist Derek Holt, is an AM-ready charmer in the manner of Badfinger or Paul McCartney that points toward pop. But, by abandoning their blues roots, they sound like just another average white band.
