Fly Like an Eagle was one of many great albums I grew up listening to in the '70's, so I quickly snapped up the 30th Anniversary Edition. The cd features the classic album remastered and sounding better than ever with some cool bonus demos ad...ded. Musically the album reflects Miller's wide-ranging influences from the country flavor of Dance, Dance, Dance to the electric blues of Mercury Blues. His sweet strat tone and whooshing keyboards still stand the test of time here. The dvd is the real prize though. The album is mixed in 5.1 Dolby Digital. Blue Odyssey and Space Intro/Fly Like An Eagle really fill the room with spacey-sounding keyboards and sound like Miller probably envisioned when he wrote them. A documentary on the making of the album is also included, as well as an '05 concert performance which has Miller trading licks with the likes of Joe Satriani. This 2-disc set is a fantastic value for the money and a great blast from the past. Read more Less
