Synopsis: Flower Drum Song (1961)

This film version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway smash tells the story of a young Chinese woman who travels to San Francisco as part of an arranged marriage. The problem is that her prospective husband has other plans. Not completely successful in its translation to the screen, it remains, nonetheless, an appealing presentation.

    My Wife and two daughters watch this over and over. Flower Drum Song contains excellent music, dancing, and humor. This movie is one of our all time favorite musicals.
