    MTV Comes to Hollywood

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 12, 2003

What a concoction! Glitzy images, high energy, an arresting music score, and a story so phony only a moron could swallow it, A girl with the perfect fantasy life is courted by her rich and handsome boss, and is watched over by her patron/saint baller...ina aunt. All of the dancing is done by Beals' double, Cynthia Rhodes--Beals should have gotten a double for her acting scenes, too. Her naked bod is just fine, tho, when she flashes it. Still, the movie moves with the speed of a Michael Jackson video--if you can just manage to wade thru the maudlin screenplay, the Oscar-winning musical score will light you up. Read more Less

Great, Sexy, and What A Beat

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 24, 2003

It's simply a great film, I liked alot. Jennifer Beals was great, very great dancer, a very sexy dancer. When that theme song plays, "What a Feeling" and she dances to it, it will make you get up and start dances for not apperent reason.... I know I got into the beat.I give it two thumbs up, it's a good film, some of the very little nudity will soil it for some of the younger audiences, but for us older viewers, you never get that song out of your head. Possibly the best movie ever made!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 21, 2003

This movie is the best movie ever created even if she did use doubles for the harder stunts! (nowadays, who doesnt?)

this is the greatest 80's movie ever. the dance moves are seriously great. and so is the background of this movie. jennifer beals was great in this film. the songs: what a feeling, maniac, romeo, i'm going on a manhunt, etc, etc, etc, etc are awsome. 5 s...tars for this great 80's flick. i love it. Dancer? Welder? Huh?

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 5, 2001

Definately an 80's classic. Most people from the 80's liked it, but if you watch it now, it really wasn't that great. But hey, that's why they call it 'classic,' it's stuck in a particular time, and the 80's was it.The sound track was #1 on that char...ts at the time, "OH, What A Feeling" (Irene Cara), and the song still gives me goose bumps. MTV's has this sound track and Michael Sembelo's "Maniac" which were good sceens in the film (if your male). If you're a DVD collector (assuming this comes out on DVD), I'd buy it anyway. If you've never seen it, you have to watch it. Don't expect anything out of it, and you'll like it more. 3 stars for the sound track. Read more Less

    overrated 80s dance film

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 27, 2001

depressingly obvious that Bealls was doubled in every dance sequence: why not have Cynthia Rhodes or Marlene (the real dancers) take the full role? The romantic premise was simply boring
