    I think it's the best Nick Drake album. The songs are really beautiful and timeless. "Way to blue" is one of the best songs I've ever listened to.

    A voice you have always known

    He was a true poet. His voice is timeless. Songs like Three Hours demonstrate his incredible skill on the guitar. His voice comes as if out of "a light among the trees." You will never forget the first time his music hits you. It is mysterious, ...passionate, and beautiful. Truly a classic disc. Read more Less

    All of his 3 albums are very different, but each of them is great in its own right.
    Five Leaves Left is ladden with beautiful string- arrangements which perfectly fit the melancholic songs.
    My favourites are "Way To Blue" and "Day Is Done".

    Well, I don't really own the album...

    ...but the inclusion of the song "Fruit Tree" makes it well worth the five stars - and beyond! After years of being a classic rock fanatic, obsessing over everything from Pink Floyd to Led Zeppelin, this song came as a refreshing shock. "Fruit Tree"... boasts perhaps the most tasteful orchestral instrumentation in memorable history. Of the other songs I've heard, all have held up as well. All in all, a remarkable album from a remarkable man. Read more Less
