    I was introduced to the quality if Mikes Scotts songwriting with Fisherman's Blues. I have gotten every CD since then including the 2 solo CDs. This release of older material from that Fisherman's Blues era shows me that these few years in th...e mid 80's were a highpoint for the band, much in the way that Sgt. Pepper through The White Album was for The Beatles. Highly highy recommend this. (The new CD from 2003 "Universal Hall" is quite good as it features a return of The Fiddler but Fishermans Blues Part two stands out as a superior release.) Read more Less

    Fishermans Blues 2 ! Since ,the Big Music first filled my ears, I have kept in touch with Mr. Scotts musical awakenings. This Album Has some great tunes as usual , Good man Gone , wind in the wires, etc.I am so Glad that mike completed the recording...sTo share, With America . This Album is more reminicent to a "Pagen place "for me then the first Fisherman blues, where as "Room to Roam" Completes the folkMr. Scott Conquered.Finnaly ,Songs you may have heard live and wondered "What album is that from?" Wonder no more. !!!!!!!!!!!**********!!!!

    ...and if you enjoyed Fisherman's Blues, you're sure to enjoy this almost-as-well-done follow up. The only small discrepancy I had with the CD is the majority of tunes are more in a slow, bluesy vein rather than reflecting the folk sound of the first... FB album.One thing that is for certain though, there aren't many musical visionaries around in modern music today like Mike Scott. Read more Less
