    It's 1981, months before the movie comes out. I'm in a tiny mining town miles from anywhere. I go to some movie, it's packed. There's a preview, strangely silent: A very cool helmet begins to rotate slowly, back to front. It takes most of a minute. T...he announcer finally says: Firefox, calmly. Then the face visor pops up revealing Mr. Eastwood. The announcer adds: Clint Eastwood. The screen and theater go dark. There is a shocked silence.     A Classic in Aerial Combat Cinema

    For something that's not western or Dirty Harry, this Clint Eastwood movie is very good. Firefox is more original and intense than Top Gun, and it highly influenced other great aerial combat titles like Macross Plus.Now if only WB released this movi...e on DVD... Read more Less
