    Jones is not a great singer, musician..

    Steve Jones is neither a great singer or a leading edge guitarist, but he wrote some strong, anthemic songs. If you like simple straight ahead hard rock, you'll like this album. Not all the songs are classics, but 'Freedom Fighter', 'God in Louisian...na' and the remake of the Pistols' 'I Done You No Wrong' are standouts. If you find this in a bargain bin grab it. You've already been looking up Jones', so you must be somewhat of a fan, and this will fit in with your punk and hardcore disks. Skip the first one (Mercy), unless you are a real Jones follower, as it doesn't have the balls or tunes that 'Fire and Gasoline' has. Read more Less
