Collective ears were turned upon hearing this exciting Irish band's energetic concerts and their unconventional 1994 live CD debut Sold Out. With their first studio album, the fruits of their labors have been realized. Lead singer and songwriter Gerry Cunningham and company have honed their brand of Celtic, country, and rock under the studio auspices of former Horslips member Charles O'Connor and Resolution Suite member Paul Whittaker. O'Connor's distinct concertina complements MPTYE's array of instrumentation (whistles, fiddle, guitars, flute, etc.), and a couple of Horslips instrumental passages find their way onto this album (hmm).
