Finding Nemo came along at a time when American audiences needed something new and original. Disney and Pixar provided just that with this movie. The storyline of the father's relationship with his son is very relatable. Young kids always ahve a hard time getting along with adults, but still love their parents regardless, as do parents with their kids. This storyline is what sets Finding Nemo apart from all of Disney's past movies. There are no romance subplots in the movie. The only hard part to digest was the barracuda attack that really sets up the movie's plot. It is difficult for kids to take in. even the director admitted this. But the sound quality and graphics, along with Dory's comic relief adds to the movie. For those that havne't seen it yet, Finding Nemo will find the harts of audiences of all ages.

An instant classic. I'll never forget the first time I saw the theatrical trailer on the "Monsters Inc" DVD. I had already fell in love with it. The best part in the movie is when Dori speaks "whale". But it's even funnier when she speaks it in French.
The 5.1 surround sound is absolutely stupendous.

USdvdMonster.com only charged us $1.58 to ship compared to $3.00 charge or more at all other Internet stores we compared. I whole heartedly recommend trying that website. I buy DVDs weekly and with my research www.USdvdMonster.com has the best overall prices on the Internet when you add shipping costs to the total purchase amount. This movie was okay. I did watch it on an airplane, so maybe that is the reason that I was not too jazzed about it.It seemed a bit too predictable for me, but a good movie for the kids.

"Finding Nemo," along with "Shrek," are two of the best animated movies so far this decade. Like "Shrek," "Finding Nemo" plays for adults as well as children, the story is hip and funny, and the animation is beautiful, but even more colorful here than in "Shrek." You'll get lost at sea with the elaborate drawings of tbe fish, reefs, water, and the like, and the memorable characters. We meet neurotic Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks in his best role to date for his otherwise uninspiring career) who loses all the eggs to a vicious, hungry barracuda and all there is left is little Nemo in an egg. His wife, Coral, suddenly disappears, and perseveres endlessly on his search for his son with the aid of the perky yet scatterbrained Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, and she seems to be having a good time with Brooks). Meanwhile, a scuba diver has picked up Nemo and is dropped off at a fish tank in a dentist's office in Sydney, Australia. Nemo befriends fellow fish Bloat (voiced by Brad Garrett from "Everyone Loves Raymond"), Gill (voiced by Willem Dafoe), and Peach (voiced by Allison Janey from "The West Wing"), along with others. They all want to escape from the clutches of the dentist's ugly niece who wants to kill them. Also, a pelican named Nigel (voiced by Australian Actor Geoffrey Rush) helps in the quest for Nemo. With the mixture of comic actors Brooks, DeGeneres, and Garrett, and intense actors Dafoe, Janey, and Rush, the cast blends very well in lighthearted fare with some serious undertones.
As for the extras, we get to play the game "Fisharades" hosted by the valley-dude turtle Crush where we guess the symbols which the fish are trying to form, we watch the Pixar short "Knick Knack," we watch Nemo, Marlin, and Dory interrupt Jean-Michel Costeau's serious documentary about the sea, we are invited to virtual aquariums and sketches of the movie, we meet all the fish and their characteristics, and we are shown how the animation is done for this movie. The only extra that is missing (and I have seen this in the "Shrek" and "Monsters, Inc" DVDs) are interviews with the voice cast and how they provided for the characters (In a recent "Biography" edition, Ellen DeGeneres moved her mouth to her whale speak. This could have been shown for the DVD). But why complain? No DVD is perfect. It is as good as it is and it deserves the popularity of an animated DVD as does "Shrek." I think this movie was very enjoyable! when i went to go see it in theatres i thought it was going to be very kid ish but i was wrong! this movie is full of laughs and fun!!! I have been waiting for it to come out on dvd.
