    About three months ago my eyes were filled with tears as i finally got to open my import copy of FF11. Us console gamers are usually not used to installing games, so it may come to you as a surprise that it takes so long to get started. 2 hours of ea...ger waiting later i strapped on my adventuring boots and prepared myself for an adventure like no other. But ack! What is this? Patches?! Yes, even us console gamers are no longer immune to the evil of patches. So once that was out of the way, i booted up FF11 and began my 3 month seclusion from the world. To begin FF11, you first have to give away your credit card number,and be prepared to spend around 10$ american(my yen-dollar conversion is a little rusty)and select a user name.After that the world of FF11 is all yours. You begin by creating a character from an extensive and thorough character creation screen allowing you to pick from 5 different races(elves,humans,cat-gi
    rls,little 2-foot tree dudes, and giant ogre beasts. The variations in characters is greatand allows for alot of change for people used to other mmorpg's) different hair, facial features and so on. I can't remamber the exact number but there are up to about 5000 different variations. After you are done that, you are assigned a server randomly which means if you want to on a server with your friend, you have to keep trying to get it. You are allowed to pick from three very different worlds from which to start your adventure: a foresty type surrounding, a desert, and a normal plain type of area. They all have a castle were you start and you are assigned a home which noone else can enter. Before you start this adventure make sure you have a lot of time to spare for this game will suck up your life. The first thing you will notice about this game is the incredible graphics, and environments that display many different effects such as snow, rain, day or night. This little effects help emerse you into the world. The first thing i have to admit i missed was the presence of a ground breaking story line, however, this was quickly forgotten as i realized how deep the game play was. To pass the time you are given many quests which you must undertake to advance your character, and the farther you venture from your home, the harder the monsters are to overcome. Luckily you are able to band together with others to form parties which is truely the best part of this game. Playing, typing, and conversing with others is truely something console gamers have experienced before, and something this sophisticated will blow them away. Combat takes part as it does in many other mmorpg where as you select your commands and the computer takes over. You may think this would be tiresome, but doing this with others - as you heal them, they heal you - is quite entertaining and tense. Should you be overwhelmed you can run away and you can send a cry of help to others within a certain radius. Unfortunately, many times have i ran away calling for help and having stronger characters laughing at my misfortunes. Luckily i can always venture in seek of stronger weapons, armor, magic, or items. If i want to however, and can find a willing host, i can trade with others, which really brings the whole online theme to a climax. But for now you must halt your reading and wait until i have more time to post my next preview. For now let me leave you with some words of advice, buy FF11, the harddrive, and network adapter as soon as humanly possible.     Pros: Online. Huge, Graphics, addictive

    Cons: MONTHLY CHARGE!!!!!!!!

    This game is off the hook...I started late but have been a FF fan since it was on SNES! I just think it so wrong to try and milk all of us hard working individuals for ever cent that we work for! I enjoy the game...but constantly thinking about mak...ing sure I spend enough time playing to wash away the woes of having to pay for fun after a hard days work...It takes away from the relaxation! Is everyone in this world money hungry monsters or is it just me because I DON"T WANT TO PAY a louwsy $12 fee when I already had to pay a $100 bucks for the game, plus my DSL/roadrunner fee and now another monthly fee....When will it end...this is worse then the rise of gas prices. The game makers have now just found away to drain all games of our favorite pasttime and relaxtion of conquering and moving on to that next level or new stage....The blood sucking VAMPIRES........Freedom!!

    Cons: you pay 13$ a month

    The game looks good, but why do you have to pay 13$ a month? I bought the game for 89$ and now I have to pay just to play it!? I dunno about you all, but that sounds like bullcrap to me. You have to pay no matter what internet connectin you have. ... But if you are willing to pay 156 $ for a year of playing, than this game is for you. Read more Less

    Pros: Excellent Fantasy Game 5 Stars

    Cons: A little expensive on the monthly charge

    This game has been taken to a whole new level of game play! Excellent Graphics and expandability many hours of fun. I have met some great friends on this wonderful beta test and can almost guarentee you will also have as much fun playing this game as... I did. Beta test has come to and end, and a sad one at that because of the great gamers I have met and played with the last three months of my life it is a total success a flawless game that will be always enhanced and made better as time goes on not to mention it is the Number 1 Game overseas in China.     Pros: Infinite things to do, Easy Job System

    Cons: Monthly Fee, Updates, Really Addicting

    Awesome game. Graphics are superb, music is awesome and the game play is definatelly great. Not only can you explore and do quests, you can get missions that further the storyline. It even comes with two other programs: PlayOnline and Tetra Master.... PlayOnline lets you e-mail, chat and read info. Tetra Master is the card game from FFIX, only online.Don't listen to anyone who says this game sucks. It definatelly deserves 5 stars. Read more Less

    I have not played this game yet but plan on doing so soon. I have read thousands{or so it seems} of reveiws and i have seen it is good where it need to be and better when it doesnt. Although the partial nudity disturbes many peoepl i am sure. What go...od is wearing nothing but skin when you opponent tries to kill you with a sharp weapon of some sort?     well i think that final fantasy 11 should be rated 5 stars because it is going to the best and everyone will be talking bout it and it will out in 2003.and i got some movies already and some screen-shots and the game play look good plus the environme...nt it prefect too.the graphics is very neat and clear as well .the players are good looking .everything is prefect in final fantasy 11.
