This movie kept me spellbound! I can't wait to play the new Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. If the movie looks this awesome, then the game has to be even better. Watching this movie makes me really wish they would redo the original FFVII game. Awesome visuals, loved characters, a little humor. It's great! If you love the Final Fantasy series, you HAVE to watch this movie.

Okay if your reading this, then either you have allready seen it, or you are probabky not a squaresoft RPG fan. For those of you that don't know Advent Children is a continuation of the storyline of Final Fantasy 7. This is why most of us watched, or were very very tempted to watch this movie almost half a year before it was released in the US. But ets not talk about the unual shennanigans with release dates lets get down to what advent children does and does not deliver. Advent children is a beautiful postlude to FF7 revisiting classic characyers and settings with the amazing level of beauty that stole most peoples "life" while they were playing the game. The story is the same quality however as what you find in most of our RPG games, and more than a little corney at points, but most of us will forgive that for a chance to hear Sephiroth speak *shrug*. The real problem with advent children is that it isn't acessable to people who haven't played the game. Too much is based on what happened before and the recap is very very light. That and the jokes, most FF7 fans will fall out of there seats laughting at the end of Tifas frst fight (I did) meanwhile everyoneelse is looking at you asking whats so funny. The ratings up there are for those who haen't played FF7 otherwise it is a 4 with 5s across the board.

For those of you that dont know, I am not a big fan of movies that have been made from video games. They normally take a great story and characters and ruin them forever. I am also not the biggest fan of anime. I enjoy Magma on a rare occasion, but I have a hard time setting down with an RPG (although I like rocket propelled grenades in a game). FF:AC is beautiful. Its CGI is the thing that Dreamworks and Pixar should aspire to, no question. The graphics and the music rolled together smoothly enough to leave that tight feeling. However, the voice-over volume was dramatically soft, which meant that you had to use sub-titles to keep from blowing your eardrums out to hear what they were saying. To be honest, what they were saying didnt make much sense anyway. The story jumped from one end to the other and left you hanging there (like most anime-themed stories). When you develop character study in a film, you dont do it with a three second montage at the beginning. In this film, you really dont feel a connection with the characters, which is something that every producer and story-writer should focus on. I am assuming that the buzz about this movie comes from the FF fanboys. Which is fine, but someone that wants to set down and be entertained without trying to figure out what the back-story is should pick up something different.

Acctually I was hopping for something else..I really didn't like the story, it wasn't one of those that really grips you and I kind'a got lost in that Lifestream thing...But graphics, characters even music, IT WAS PERFECT!!! I couldn't stop staring...(even forgot to read subs:) This movie is one of those that you just MUST see.

A few months ago my friends and I downloaded Advent Children, after a few hours the movie was ready. As we viewed the movie our jaws were hanging low. Cloud, oh my god, Tiffa, oh my god, VINCENT, oh my god, SEPHIROTH, oh my god, and of course KADAJ, OOOOOH MYYYYY GOD! The movie itself is so awesome, especialy the story. This movie is a must see. WARNING, this movie is about 710mg's big, if you ever want to download it.
