Europe's major label debut turned out to be a big smash for the band as well as its most successful. From the opening title cut, to "Rock the Night", and the lovely ballad, "Carrie", the album flows well and every song is a keeper. No filler here. En...listing former Journey producer Kevin Elson(a smart move), the album is produced very well and captures an almost live vibe to it.Joey Tempest's operatic vocals shine and the rest of the band support him nicely.This is vintage 80's pop/metal. but i can say main title `Final Countdown`is
a very nice soung, a great hit from this group.

I totally agree with the other reviews, in that this is a CLASSIC album!!! Europe was one of the best parts of the 80's !!! Also, one of their songs is my name :-)

What kind of moron would give this album a one? What the hell, and you call Europe homoerotic. Freaking idiot.Anyway, back to the music. This is one of the greatest albums every. "Final Countdown" is my favorite song. It's just so freakin' aweso...me. The vocals, the lyrics, everything. "Carrier", "Rock the Night", "Ninja", "Cherokee", hell, every SONG on this album is pretty good.Not to mention the cover totally rules. Read more Less

Still a classic after all these years...The FC 2000 version is cool too :)
