Fernando Colomo

Spanish director Fernando Colomo's professional debut, a documentary about Argentine president Campora's visit to Spain entitled Mañana Llega el Presidente/Tomorrow the President Arrives (1972), was promptly banned by government censors. Colomo had greater success with his fictional feature debut, Tigres de Papel/Paper Tigers (1977), a smart, ironic portrait of middle-class intellectuals. This and many of Colomo's subsequent films were produced through his own production company, La Salamandra P.C. Colomo turned to producing in 1980 with Full Fernando Colomo Biography
