    A Worthy Effort

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 16, 2004 | 5 out of 5 found this Feels Like Home review helpful

    Pros: Great Selection of Songs

Cons: No New Ground Covered Here

If you are looking for Norah to expand on "Come Away With Me" you will be disappointed with this effort. Her voice and tone are flawless, and she delivers each song to perfection. The first release from the CD, "Sunrise" sounds as... if it were taken from CAWM.Jones, along with her back-up singer, Daru Oda paints each song clearly with feeling. After listening to the CD a few times, the songs will stick in your head as you hum them thoughout the day. I do not believe that this will garner the accolades that CAWM did, but if you enjoy Norah Jones you'll love this. Read more Less

    Feels like a mellow hit

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 10, 2004 | 1 out of 1 found this Feels Like Home review helpful

Pros: hey it's Nora! .... 'nuff said

    Cons: a little sleepy

It's a great album! Worth the 9.95 at Target and Best Buy! Her second effort, however, lacks the peaks that made Come Away With Me so memorable for me. The whole cd is very mellow which isn't a bad thing . . . I just could use a little upper ...once in a while. Musically great her voice is great. It just seems to be missing something. Still for anyone who enjoyed #1 will still love #2 Read more Less

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 9, 2004 | 1 out of 1 found this Feels Like Home review helpful

    Pros: Great variety of songs

Cons: None I can think of.

Awesome follow up album to the instant classic debut album Come Away With Me. It's different yet as good in quality as the first. I highly recommend this album.

    Home Indeed...

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 5, 2004 | 2 out of 4 found this Feels Like Home review helpful

    Pros: Laid-back easy listening...

Cons: Deviates from the promise of "Come Away With Me"

Norah Jones "Feels Like Home" hit Philippine record stores last February 3, 2004. "Feels Like Home" has the same trademark of "Come Away With Me" but lacks the promise of a more soothing and relaxing tone. Don't ge...t me wrong, "Feels Like Home" is a not a bad record at all. It only needs to do away with some recording blemishes. The album just needs more polishing with the engineering and the recording to offer the same sound quality of "Come Away With Me". With the impeccable selections Jones has made, and her passionate songwriting, the album has potential to be welcomed by her faithful listeners with a second spinning. In fact, the album features The Handsome Band and a guest appearance of Dolly Parton. The first track on the disc, "Sunrise" is a fitting song to be played first thing in the morning. Listening to this composition just gives its listeners an assurance of a bright day ahead in the guise of a love song. "What Am I To You?" is a fitting ballad for lovers who are in the fork in the road of their relationship-a song near-perfect for contemplation. In a more visual tone, "Carnival Town" offers the idyllic imagery of a small village with its slow and wonderful tones. In a more philsophical mood, one may not resist indulging his or her auditory senses to feast on "Humble Me", "Above Ground" and "The Long Way Home". Jones could have added a few more melodic tracks to enhance the album's homelike flavor. All in all, "Feels Like Home" will bring your senses to a familiar place. A place where all solitude lies with Norah Jones soulful voice. Surely, there is no place like home. :)Rated: A- Read more Less

On the top ten in my ipod

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 14, 2006

Pros: Very smooth, a soundtrack for our lives.

    Cons: Not dance music

Songs from this CD are on just about every playlist I create on my ipod. Her voice and music are perfect vehicles for her lyrics. The songs are so alive that, at times, it almost feels as though I am accidentally eavesdropping on a conversation betwe...en lovers. At other times, she is singing proclamations of her own spirit, songs that have me singing along. One such song, "Creep On In," is sung as a vibrantly fun duet with Dolly Parton. Another song, "My Toes Just Touch The Water" is an ode to all the times we want to make a change and find ourselves hesitating. Smooth jazz at times, folk in others. Check her out; she defies labels. Feels Like Home To Me Too

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 13, 2004

Pros: Every track has its own unique beauty

Cons: Not as jazzy as the her 1st but who cares right?

A great follow up to her now legendary debut, "Come Away With Me", Norah continues to deliver a virtually flawless vocal and musical performance with the delightful accompaniment of the "Handsome Band". "Home" is infused... with a sultry, mellow vibe that brings in some country music flavour in particular tracks as well. Being a fan, I'm partial to anything that Norah lends her vocals to. This album simply showcases another side to Jones' musical scope and her truest fans will not be disappointed. Believe me, we never are. Read more Less

    Pros: Norah rules!!

    Cons: no cons

Norah Jones is the best thing to hit the musical world since Janis Joplin or Kitty Wells or Ella Fitzgerald. That's the best way I can put it. What a talented artist!
