About Fayruz
Panamanian female rock band Fayruz made its debut with the release of an EP called Abran Las Compuertas in May of 2000. In addition, the foursome participated in a local compilation with Simon Garfunkel's "Hazy Shade of Winter," also performed by the Bangles on its Eternal Flame album. In July of 2000, singer Macarena Larrañaga decided to leave the act.
