Pros: One of the greatest Sci-Fi Series ever

Cons: No longer on the Sci-Fi Channel... wish they would bring it back

If you love Sci-Fi and you have never seen this series... it is definately worth purchasing! I am a huge Star Trek fan and in my opinion, this is the only series that has come anywhere close to being as good as Star Trek. Not that it is a Star Trek "copycat", not at all. The creators of this show used their own imagination on this one. It has well developed characters and lots of new storylines. It fully stands on its own.

Pros: Imaginative, Great Storyline, Outstanding Cast

Cons: Couldn't think of any

When it first came on Sci-fi channel, I didn't think I'd like it. Especially when animation came from
Jim Henderson Studios. All I could think of was a
Kermit in Space chased by an evil Fozzie Bear.
But nothing was further from the truth.
Farscape was excelently done. An astronaut with
an offbeat sense of humor transported to a very wired, sometimes violent universe. I could see myself there sometimes.

Aeryn: Wait, you can smell him in all of this?

Pros: original, intelligent, great acting, suspenseful, colorful...

Cons: discontinued by the Sci-Fi channel after only 4 seasons :O(

OK, this is the greatest sci-fi show of all times. Unlike many (and i mean MANY) sci-fi movies and TV series, this show has great actors who are doing an awesome job. Although I have never before bought a DVD, I could not resist buying both Season 1 and Season 2 boxed sets.

I am 36 years old and have seen A LOT of bad and a lot of good sci-fi. Farscape is definitely one of the best shows (if not the best) in its genre.

I am looking forward to seeing the mini-series.

I got totally hooked after seeing just the first episode. Every subsequent one (episode) was even better and more inspiring.
You cannot go wrong with this series!

I received this boxed set as a birthday present from my wife. As a hard core Star Trek fan, I refused for the longest time to watch any other sci-fi TV series, so I ignored Farscape while it was still showing on TV. My wife heard from one of her colleagues about Farscape and decided to get it for me (I think she got really bored with watching Star Trek reruns all the time ;O). When I finally agreed to give Farscape a try, I couldn't stop watching it. I ended up watching all 22 episodes in three days. Right now I am watching the third season and can't wait to see what happens next. It really is a GREAT show, and I will never understand how could they have cancelled it.
Anyway, it is very well done and refreshing. I recommend it wholeheartedly!!!

This was an incredible series. It was a date for my wife and I every Friday night (air-time for new episodes). Too bad the Sci-Fi channel is so short sighted. They continue to carry a series (SG-1) that is ... well just bad all around. This was an extremely bad move ... we don't even check to see what is on that channel anymore.

Enough about the sad, disillusioned Sci-Fi channel. The Farscape series did not have the acting caliper of Sean Connery, Mel Gibson, Al Pacino, etc. , however, the characters grew into extremely interesting, bigger than life, personalities. The special effects ... incredible. Storyline ... riveting. I check to see when the next volume DVD will be released on a weekly basis. I can't wait to get the next series of episodes ...

Great DVD collection for any SCIFI fan, Farscape goes beyond the edge of relationships and conficts when a human scientist is accidently thrown into a new galaxy where he's the alien and has to get along those he runs into. Great special effects, comedy, puppeteering, make-up and outstanding chemistry between all the characters.

If you like Sci Fi, you'll fall in love

The charactors are well written and the actors are first rate. The stories continue to be amazing and enjoyable.

Recommended for anyone who loves smart Sci-Fi.
