get over it!!! (my Misfits rant)

    Pros: Everything

    Cons: Nothing

im a complete Danzig fan, that why my user name is danzig, anyway, the point im gettin too is that Danzig left 20 years ago, and as a Danzig fan reviewing this, i think Graves has done justice to the Misfits, Graves has an amazing voice, and people h...ate him becuase he had to be the guy to fill BIG...B-I-G shoes, thets the way i look at it, Graves isnt trying to be Danzig one bit, and the Re-formed Misfits are just as great as the old, but in a completely differant way since these are more metal than punk, so whats the point in judging them based on the old Misfits, ok they shouldnt really be called the Misfits because they have had SO many members in the past, they have kinda lost the Misfits blood, and if they were called something else, people wouldnt hate Graves as much as the Die hard Danzig fans do, but why not dwell on the past when you can just go out and get Danzig albums? why not listen to the Misfits with Graves and give it a chance and stop being stupids turds about the situation? hell, Fat mike out of NOFX got over it!!!........ so...... as i was saying,This is a great album, (now thats what i call a rant!!!) Pro Reviews: Famous Monsters

  • All Music Guide

Sporting the same lineup as on American Psycho (read: two members from the band's prime, but no Glenn Danzig), the reunited Misfits continue their resurrection from the grave with Famous Monsters, titled after a '70s horror magazine. To their credit, the band tries to maintain a certain amount of variety in coloring its sonic palette, throwing in a little doo wop and rockabilly, and they sound tighter than in the past.

Biography

The Misfits

Genuinely shocking or tasteless, campy fun? It was sometimes hard to tell which way the Misfits wanted to be taken, and the immense cult following that has grown up in the years after their actual existence (1977-1983) seems divided in its own assessment. It certainly wasn't the Misfits' musicianship -- which was as crude as the recording quality of most of their oeuvre... Read more
