    Pros: fun and sex appeal

    Cons: shoulda hit real big

    The album is a classic along with Glamourous Life, Purple Rain, Jill Jones, Ice Cream Castles. Anything that came out of Minneapolis from the Purple Mafia between 82-88 was all CLASSICS. (period)

    A Classic "Underground" Album

    Pros: Amazing string arrangements, killer Prince cuts

    I stumbled across a japanese import of this cd about 10 years ago. It was expensive but it was DEFINITELY worth the money. It had a full booklet and insert in japanese with pictures, lyrics etc. The sound quality is amazing. If you haven't heard ...this cd, it has the original and far superior version of "Nothing Compares 2 U" as well as 2 great instrumentals and a some other excellent cuts: "River Runs Dry", "Desire" and "High Fashion". If you like old Prince you will LOVE this album. Although he only gets writing credit for "Nothing Compares 2 U", he actually wrote, arranged and performed all of the songs, with the help of Eric Leeds on sax and Clare Fischer on string arrangement. If you can find this CD or album, get a hold of it. The only other place that I am aware that you can get any songs by "The Family" is on the "Girl 6" soundtrack where "Screams of Passion" is included. Every track is great! Read more Less
