Seth McFarlane's dysfunctional Griffin family makes their video game debut as a thirdperson action title starring Peter, Stewie, and Brian in their own storylines rife with popculture jabs. As boorish blockhead Peter Griffin, players must stop English butler Mr. Belvedere's apparent bid for world domination. Wrathful wunderkind Stewie Griffin battles his "sperm brother" Bertram, while cultivated canine Brian Griffin figures a way out of prison. The game features a celshaded look to keep it in line with the animated series, and players will visit a number of familiar locales in and around the fictitious setting of Quahog, Rhode Island. Expect characters such as Death, Glen Quagmire, Cleveland Brown, and Joe Swanson to make comical cameos throughout the "giggity giggity" game. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

More For The Laughs Than The Game

Pros: Good old fashioned 'Family Guy' humor.

Cons: Everything else is a little bland and the game is just way to short.

I didn’t take this game to seriously, even as a ‘Family Guy’ enthusiast. However, I was surprised at how fun the game actually is. With that said, the controls are bad and the game deserves a much better design than what 2K offered up; Peter is no... Sub-Zero, nor Brian a Sam Fisher, nor Stewie a Master Chief. The game is broken up so that it doesn’t get to repetitive, but the major fun factor in the game is the comedy relief. You can’t help but laugh at the antics and the creativity that went into making sure that ‘Family Guy’ fans would expect. I don’t know if I would consider this a “must have” for the video game library, but it is definitely one to rent. Read more Less

I already suffered through the X-Men game this summer, so I figured Family Guy comedy would give the formula a much-needed lift. Clearly I've been betrayed, suckered into the same damn thing, and now I'm just frustrated. Read more
