Pros: Every episode comes with full commentary. Certain episodes comes unedited.

Cons: The unedited episodes are unedtied in language only.

Family Guy fans will be both happy and angry at Seth McFarlane and 20th Cenury Fox for splitting up Season 4 into two seperate box sets. It does basically nothing but gyp the show's fans. However, it is not the first show to suffer such treatment.... Even The Sopranos' most recent (and final) season has been split into two seperate box sets. Countless others have undergone the same mistreatment out of pure greed. This aside, fans will be pleased by the second half of Family Guy's fourth season for every reason that led to the show's resurrection. Seth McFarlane is a comedic genius. He and his staff leave no stone unturned on Family Guy. These episodes are no different from those of the show's past seasons. The only downside to the boxset (other than it simply being split into two box sets), is that 20th Century Fox marketed this box set as being "uncensored". But the only uncensored material is the language in a few episodes. it is nothing diferent from how MTV's "The Osbournes" aired "uncensored" on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) some years ago. Americans are so accustomed to foul language that a few curse words here and there are really nothing shocking. So, for the most part, the episodes in this box set are presented in virtually the same fashion that they were in when they were originally aired. The big upside to Season 4.2 is that every single episode comes with full commentary from series creator Seth McFarlane, and his staff. It gives quite a bit of insight as to the intended angles of storylines, etc. for those who might be interested in such things. Despite the split of the season and the lack of features on this box set, it is still worth the money for fans of Family Guy. Now, anyone who does not get to see the show every Sunday night on Fox, or Monday-Thursday on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block will get to see the first four seasons any time they want. And, to make the deal even more "freakin' sweet" (Family Guy joke there), Season 5 is likely only months away for DVD release. Read more Less
