    The Covers Album

    I agree with both the other reviews. Except I think that Emulsified is a great song and added a lot of comic attitude to the album. The album is soft and very folksy, so I'm sure Yo La just wanted to let go on one of the tracks. Best track: Oklah...oma, USA. Read more Less

    Definitely my favorite YLT album, which is funny since the songs are all covers. But what great covers they are. Every song is outstanding, especially Here Comes My Baby (the only song I had heard the original version of), You Tore Me Down, Speedin...g Motorcycle, and Oklahoma USA. But everything's wonderful, except maybe for Emulsified -- a cute attempt at 50's throwback that gets old fast. I like every album by YLT but this is their best. Read more Less

    This collection of covers (with 4 original songs) is essential to Yo La Tengo fans. It is nothing short of perfection, which Yo La Tengo has a habit of achieving on every record they release.
