Released as an adjunct to the actual Fait Accompli single itself, this EP, as the title clearly indicates, features an extended remix of the track done by the band and its production team itself. As a result it's not that different from the original recording, but it's a still a fine take on the song, stretching out the combination of brisk, punchy funk rhythm, industrial/techno dance touches, guitar blasts and Halliday's cool and controlled singing with good results. More of immediate interest to fans might be the two B-sides, being live versions of earlier tracks recorded at separate shows in 1991 performed by the full band as opposed to the Halliday/Garcia pairing that does the actual recording. "Coast is Clear" gets a reasonable enough airing, not too different from the studio version outside of an extended intro, but "Die Like a Dog" is something else. Ratcheting up the vitriol of the track to new heights both musically and in terms of Halliday's cutting delivery, it's a breathtaking example of the band's abilities.
