  • All Music Guide

This semidecent collection from the Collectables label of early50's vocal quintet the Flamingos features twelve tracks from the group's Chance, Checker and Decca recording sessions. While catchy doowop cuts like "It's Too Soon to Know," "Sinner (El Pecador)," the "Moonlight in Vermont," "Ol' Man River," and "Flame of Love" are good, fans looking for Flamingo classics like "Golden Teardrops" or "I'll Be Home" will come away disappointed and should check out Rhino's excellent Best of the Flamingos or Collectables aptlytitled fortytwo track For Collectors Only box.
