Though inspired by both the original F-Zero for the Super NES and that game's N64 sequel, F-Zero X, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity is a new game in its own right, featuring never-before seen tracks and vehicles. As was the case with its predecessors, this launch title for the Game Boy Advance is all about speed. The game is designed to make use of the GBA's improved technological specifications to provide a style of high velocity racing never before experienced on a handheld system.

In a continuation of the setting and storyline of the earlier F-Zero games, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity takes place 25 years after the high-speed competitions featured in the 1991 Super NES title. Players race against the descendants of the original F-Zero racers. Competitions between human opponents are supported as well, as up to four F-Zero: Maximum Velocity players can race head-to-head using a link cable. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

    F-Zero is at the max. The control was at first but now it's a sinch. The graphics are great. It has grphics that are as good as the SNES. But hey, who doesn't like all those old SNES graphics. The music to this game is cool but maiinly it is so fun! ...I love winning new cars and tracks. So buy this game. Read more Less
