    Have you ever seen The Rose? The soundtrack album is great. Especiallly the last two songs. It makes yiu cry. The Rose is her best song ever!

    Ahem...well from her first album up to this point Bette has done many good/bad songs. That's pointed out also in this greatest hits package. There's one never before heard song from the "Johnny Carson" show before it was off the air for good, as we...ll as some soundtrack songs. I don't care for "The Rose" soundtrack, never have, and never will. It is the worst soundtrack performance EVER heard in my entire life!! However, the title track itself is very appealing to me. I do like "Wind Beneath My Wings", "Do You Want To Dance", and her live recording of "Shiver Me Timbers" ALWAYS makes me cry every time I hear it (it's so good). Don't dismiss Bette though, regardless. She's such a wonderful comedian, actress, and singer (when she's taking it seriously, that is) and I'll always adore those qualities in her. Just watch out for her loudmouth! Read more Less

    Bette Midler's first compilation features most of her hits, including "Wind Beneath My Wings," "The Rose," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "From a Distance," and her version of "One More for My Baby (And One More for the Road)," recorded on one of the final episodes of The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson. Divine Collection is the greatest-hits collection that Midler has needed for quite some time.
