I remember when I first heard Leave Home on this album. I thought I was taking a rocket ship to mars for the entire 4 minutes. Then hearing the pounding snare on 'Life is Sweet', oh my god I never wanted it to end.. Chemicals where hardly known when ...they released this and they proved they could hammer out an album to take us all on a long strange trip. Read more Less

  • Overall:

    Monumental to say the least

I remember the first time I bought this on tape. It was overpriced, but I figured it'd be good. Listenting to it for the first time was a nightmare. I hated it. Then I took my blinders off and really LISTENED. This is a must-have for a fan.

The former Dust Brothers make oblique reference to litigation averted on their debut full-length. The Brothers' sound is big on bombast, replete with screeching guitar samples and lots of sirens and screaming divas. A breakthrough album of sorts, Exit was, upon its release, one of the few European post-techno albums to make any sort of headway into the stateside market.
