Philadelphia industrial band Executive Slacks added an emotional, gothic side to their fusion of programmed electronics and guitar noise. The group was led by vocalist Matt Marello and programmer John Young; their first two EPs were collected on 1984's You Can't Hum When You're Dead, with the latter EP produced by Youth of Killing Joke.
