    An Angel with a Voice

    Just to say that David Sylvian's music is a delicious piece of heaven on earth, specially when Ryuichi Sakamoto is regarding him.
    This selection of his work let you remember how we used to feel up there...

    Sulvian's greatest work ?

    Like many avid followers of Sylvian's work over the years, it came as no surprise to me that this would not be the standard "greatest hits" albums that many artists release. Far from giving us all the singles from throughout the years, Sylvian has ch...ose to take us through a journey of his work, including collaborations as well as some old friends. There will always be some tracks that don't make the cut, that maybe others would have like to have seen included. But that said, I think Sylvian has done an excellent job in giving the listener a comprehensive account of 2 decades of music. Read more Less

    As weird as the artist himself

    A 'best of' that supposedly spans his solo career between 1980 and 2000, with a couple of Japan songs and unreleased recordings thrown in. This won't win him any new fans, however. It isn't a disastrous compilation, but it's let down mainly by the ...lack of standout tracks (where are Forbidden Colours and Red Guitar?) Hardcore Sylvian fans will love this album, undoubtedly, but it was so haphazardly compiled that it's hardly surprising that it's had no impact. Shame really, as David is a talented musician, and this album just doesn't reflect this fact. Read more Less
