Pros: Lots of quests, good group interaction and many things to explore.

Cons: Install popups for Station ID, registration or game Account/PW did not work. Crashes a lot.

The actual game and the added game content with the Faydwer expansion is on par with other MMORPG's with which it competes. Sony does have a nice system for on-line, interactive help - good thing too(!) it was needed~! I had to install the basic ...games first, that was ok and expected. BUT that installation was HORRIBLE!! None of the installation pop-ups to create a Station ID, registration or game Account/PW worked. I had to contact SOE support and do these steps manually outside the installation process (on three different machines same results: my sons, my daughters and mine). Once the game was finally installed, I had seven (7) hours of updates (this being on a 3k cable line), another game account/pw setup and four (4) more hours of updates. From the initial inserting of CD 1 to actually being able to sit down and play the game was an incredible 17 hours - and this before I could install the expansion. I've installed eight (8) other MMORPG's in the last year and none, NONE of them took this long and had this much hassle to install (well maybe Final Fantasy it was a close 2nd). I understand the time and the need for updates, no problem there, but that was a lot of updating! Final Thoughts - The EQ2 installation process hard codes in the use of IE (!) and NOT your system default browser. First, if you are like millions of folks who have a different browser setup, get ready for lots of pain installing EQ2. Second, I'd advise setting up a Station ID first before you install any Sony game. Lastly, you better have at least 2Gb of RAM, a high-end CPU, a state of the art, up to date GPU and lots of cooling, to handle this game's graphic demands. And it crashes a lot to the desktop without warning on a very random, but regular basis. Read more Less

    Ubisoft - EverQuest 2 review

EverQuest has been nicknamed ""EverCrack"" because of its highly addictive nature and EverQuest 2 continues in the same vein. It's still essentially EverQuest, but with a number of overhauled areas and a ton of cool tweaks. Just don't expect anything too revolutionary. And you'll need a powerful PC to see it running at its best. Read more
