Pros: Very good on dog hair
Cons: Belt failed on 3rd try, cheap plastic everywhere
Fortunately, we retained our self-propelled old Hoover, that did poorly on dog hair, that this unit was to replace. I used it once when I assembled it and the cleaning lady used it once successfully, but the belt failed on her second use. Had high hopes for it, as it was quite good with the dogs' hair and had good suction. But I'm not risking having to change the belt 26 times a year! They hung a lot of junk on it to make it look like a cross between a vacuum and a Nascar, but should have put that money into what makes it go. If I get to WallyWorld tomorrow I'm getting the 30-day full refund.
Pros: None
Cons: Spits Dirt Back Out onto Floor
The Eureka Boss vacuum is the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I would not recommend this to even my worst enemy. While vacuumin, the dirt blows back out onto the floor which means you have to go back over everything again--usually with some other type of cleaner.
It does not pick up and keep the dirt inside the canister.
If you are looking for a quality vacuum, this is not the one for you.
Pros: very good suction,
Cons: a little lound.
i love this vacuum cleaner it gets deep down into the carpet. and i love the duster that is on the side it really does come in handy at time and i love the way the vacuum sucks all the dirt off of it its cool BUT its a little noisey when the brushes come on but i love this cleaner.
Pros: Suction is good
Cons: If yours hasn't broke yet, it will soon
We were in desperate need of a vacuum. We did not want to spend alot of money on this type of household item so we found this one for $160 and it was perfect for 3 months. Its sucked up so much dog hair and dirt that I couldn't believe how well it performed. I wanted to play on the carpet with my son and lay on the floor. It was great! Well after 3 months the spinning brush quit working. I am so pissed. I know now that the money my friends have spent on their vacuums is probably worth the money. You get what you pay for and their vacuums have lasted years and they love them. I give this vacuum no stars!!!!!!!!!!!! It sucks
Pros: zero
Cons: so disappointed
i knew i had made a big mistake within twenty minutes after i got this vacuum cleaner home, but i thought, "it can't be that bad!". the beater bar picks up grit and throws it onto my legs as i vacuum. the hose is too short, the adjustment to lock the handle into upright has broken, and it makes such a horrible noise when i turn on the switch that i fear hearing loss if i use it without ear plugs. i am totally serious...i have probably used this vacuum no more than six times in a year...it's totally worthless!
Pros: does a great job
Cons: handle gets hot and switch burned out
has the most suction of any vacume cleaner that I have ever owned after that it's all down hill. Handle gets hot and the switch finally burned out. I won't even try to get it repaired, I will trash it and buy another brand name.
Pros: lots of features
Cons: handle gets hot; very heavy; hair clogs it; roller stops working after a year
I have had this vacuum for about a year. I followed all the maintenance proceedures. I too had the problem of the handle becoming hot after vacuum is on for more than two minutes. Also hose is very difficult to detach and I have cut my hand several times pulling it out of the hole. Now every time I use the vacuum a horrible smell like burning rubber comes from the vacuum. The belt is fine, I checked it. Then I noticed the roller is not turning and bascally just melted in the left housing area. DO NOT BUY THIS VACUUM!!!! Its great at first but it does not last longer than 6 months and you will no longer be able to use it.
Pros: This vacuum cleaner was low to the ground and really sucked up the dirt. We had it for about 8 monthes and it kept its powerful suction. This vacuum had the best suction I have ever had in a vacuum cleaner.
Cons: After a while of using the vacuum cleaner, the handle behind the on/off switch would get extremely hot. As monthes went on the problem became worse. It wasn't as noticable the first couple of monthes. Later the handle became so hot that it melted the outside of the handle case and burned out the switch. Unfortuately there are no screws to take the vacuum a part to fix the burned out switch.
I paid $169.00 at one of the retailers for this vacuum cleaner. I was really excited about how well this vacuum cleaner sucked up the dirt especially the ground in dirt. The handle behind the switch would get warm, but I didn't think about it at the time of purchase. As the monthes rolled on the problem got much worse. It became difficult to vacuum very long because the handle got so hot. The other day my son felt his hand burn and the vacuum cleaner quit working. It finally burned out the switch. The plastic behind the vacuum cleaner melted. The manufactures need to improve on their switches before selling this product again. It could be one of the best vacuums made if they would fix the switch problem. The switch over heating could cause someone to get hurt or start a fire.
Pros: nice suction, easy to use attachments
Cons: little bulky for tight areas
I just bought mine today and I hope I don't have to change my mind in five months.
So far it has done an awesome job of cleaning deep into our carpet. I had just vacuumed a few days before. It has great suction with the attachment to get right up next to the baseboards. It's simple to switch from sweeper to attachments.
The dust feather thing is okay. Some dust did fall off when I was pushing it back into its canister. It is a bulky for tight cleaning areas, but maybe that's just a hint I have too much stuff.
So far I feel like I got a good deal for the price.
Pros: looks good
Cons: smoking
I have had this vacuum for about 5 months. for the first few months it worked well. I followed all the directions for up keep. Now for the past month it started to smell strange and tonight was smoking so much, that it fill my home with smoke. I trashed it. Which is where it belongs, it's garbage. My last vacuum was a Eureka and I had it for years,I can beleive this one did even last half as long. I do not recommend this one.
Pros: Unbelievable suction, attachments and bagless
Cons: Hose could be a little longer but works adequate.
My wife and I really love this vacuum. It has unbelievable suction and the duster and handheld stairbrush attachments are awesome. You can turn off the brush control to do your hardwood and linoleum floors. We just could not believe when we first used it on how much dirt and all kinds of other stuff it picked up. We feel this Vac was worth buying. I've done a lot of searching and found the Eureka 4D models to have all the features, quality and price range we wanted.
