The Canadian music scene in the mid nineties was poised to dominate and take over the pop charts south of the border in the states, no thanks in small part to the major label success of Barenaked Ladies and Sarah Mclachlan. But along with those two mega groups there was a plethora of smaller alternative acts quietly making headway as well. The Killjoys were amongst those groups, playing an infectious blend of music that was a balanced hybrid of 70s power pop melodies and the modern polished commercial punk sound of the time. Everything worthy of mention is culled from their three albums and remastered here in this latest edition of this Essentials series. These collections is most likely all the Killjoys any listener, die hard or casual fan, could ever really want.
