    I really enjoy his music but, this is something great!!!!!! the only reason he doesn't sell well in USA is they don't want az Ebglish singer to be TOP!!!! really love it you wont regret bye it now!!!!!!!!!

    I have been a Robbie fan going on 5 years now, which seems to be a rarity in America. I have fallen in love with his sound, his witty & meaningful lyrics, and especially his voice. Escapology, while not his best work to date, ranks right up there wit...h the better albums that I own. I highly recommend this, and any other Robbie album for that matter, to anyone who is interested in listening to something just a little bit different. Hopefully sales will be good on this album so that an American tour occurs! Read more Less

    the essense of robbie

    this album offers a wide range of different kinds of music and I think capture the essense of robbie and his music. there is alot of fun on this album, but robbie proved with his two singles that he can be very personale and sincer in his music and t...hat he is talented. Although some of his lyrics border on the grotesq and at times the music is more loud than anything, it is an enjoyable piece of work, both fun and serious. Read more Less

    Not one of these songs will stand the test of time let alone, make the teen charts.

    If you enjoy this, you really need to learn how to play an instrument and/or learn how to appreaciate real music and real songwriting.

    I have been an fan since I studied in London a few years ago and was introduced to pop phenomenon Robbie Williams! I've had the UK release of Escapology since it came out in November and haven't taken it out of the cd player since (ok a slight exagg...eration, but I do listen a lot!) The songs range from fun (me and my Monkey) to heartfelt (Come Undone and Feel) and you get a sense that you really know what Robbie is feeling. I just recently picked up the US release and really like the two new songs. I would recommend this to any Robbie Fan, or anyone who is interested in Robbie. Read more Less

    What the hell happened?

    I now have four of this lads albums, and have always considered the break from Take That the best move Robbie ever made.Unfortunetly I do not follow all the where abouts of Rob but understood he had moved down here to LA in recent years making it his... home base rather than dropping in and out of the city. (Caught his home on MTV Cribs)Bad move I have to assume now listening to this album. Don't get me wrong, polished produced Williams tunes abound within Escapology with Guy Chambers at the helm. But they seem to rehash similiar themes from previous albums and not near as well as before. This is not to say that Artists shouldn't continue to explore feelings in same areas, but my beef here is that the album was flat, bad bad flat. I found myself listening to the album for the 3rd time wondering if I would play it anytime soon. Nothing made me want to continue listening to this album and considering Robbie's past performances, I was left wondering, what the hell happened to this guy.I love the first 3 albums I have of Rob's and always find myself grabbing one to fill the cd album in the car with, but if by moving to LA is the reason this album is flat, then I would say to Robbie, go back home lad and return to your roots, your fans would greatly appreciate the move for music's sake.     I moved from Europe to the US in 2001 had to go through a real bad Robbie-withdrawl. I was shocked to find out that hardly anyone has heard of him here.I have all his old CDs and would have to say that I liked his older stuff better. However, I also ...like Escapology a lot. I only hope that MTV and VH1 will also start to show his videos. He has the best videos. My favorite is the one for 'Supreme' from his 'Sing when you are winning' CD in which he plays a British Formula 1 Race Car driver from the '70s. Read more Less

    surprisingly good!

    I live in Europe and the album has been released here for awhile. First of all, I have never ever bought a boy-band album and definately never bought an ex-boyband solo act such as Robbie. While I'm at it I might even confess that I hardly ever buy p...op-albums (more of a rock n' roll sort of person). A friend gave me the Robbie Williams album "Escapeology" - and to my shock its very very good. Good songs with great lyrics with a fresh sound to it. "Feel" is a nice ballad. Check out Darryl Hannah in the video. "Me and my monkey" is an unusual song, nice sound. The bonus track with lyrics about Richard Gere etc is very funny. Read more Less
