Synopsis: Escaflowne (2002)

Synopis: The Escaflowne series follows the exploits of a young schoolgirl, Hitomi Konzaki, who is an ordinary enough high school student until a column of light transports Hitomi to a strange world called Gaea. Hitomi aligns herself with a young knight named Van, who she saw in a vision prior to being transported, and they begin a perilous journey with Escaflowne, the legendary god of protection. Blending cell and computer animation and containing elements of both shoujo (anime geared towards girls) and shounen (anime geared towards boys), the series achieved enormous popularity in both Japan and in the U.S. This box set contains all 26 episodes of the series as well as the feature-length Escaflowne movie.
