As a Latin-pop singer, Eros Ramazzotti became especially popular in Germany, Mexico and Argentina (as well as his native Italy) during the '90s, and he has sold over 20 million records worldwide, though his success in America has been limited. He was born in the Rome suburb of Cinecitta during the mid-'60s, and moved to Milan to make a career of music as a teenager.
