    Goofy -- and funny

    This film is one of my family's favorite Christmas films. It's pretty brainless yet still highly entertaining. The title gives away almost the entire plot but every time I watch it I pick up some little gag I've missed before. It's not in the same le...ague as "It's a Wonderful Life" or "White Christmas" nor is it meant to be. Ernest's various disguises in the film (a snake farmer, a guilt-dispensing mother) make me appreciate the comedic talents of the late Jim Varney. I'll miss him -- know what I mean? Read more Less
