This movie has a an exciting plot, and some amazing high-tech gadgetry. Will Smith and Gene Hackman work very well together. Points off for the slightly silly ending, but definitely worth the rental.

Smith and Hackman do a great job in this thriller from Tony Scott. The pacing is perfect and if the ending wasn't so lame it may have been a modern day classic. Definitely recommended.

This is a very entertaining movie. The less you know about it the better. I will say one thing Will Smith puts in a very good performance but mainly because he has Oscar winning actors Hackman and Voight along side him.

Will Smith is awsome in this movie. By far his best performance. From begining to end there is nothing but excitment coupled by Will Smith's cocky attitude which sets the tone for some laughs. But make no mistake, the movie jumps right back into the action and suspence. This is one of my favorite top 5 movies in my collection of over 150 moves. This is a MUST BUY!!!

Enemy of the State is a great movie. It is wonderfully acted out by Will Smith and Gean Hackman. Smith plays the role of a lawyer called Robert Dean who is given a video tape which contains the murder of a congressman on it, however he doesn't no he has it. Now the NSA (National Security Agency) are after Dean to get the tape back and eliminate him. Dean still doesn't know whats going on when he searches for help from Gean Hackman, who plays the role of a x NSA agent. Together they get their revenge, and try to rebuild Dean's life.
Enemy of th State has many exhusting scenes in it which don't dissapoint, from a car chase through trains to a game of cat and mouse in a hotel. Much like Speed, this film keeps you on the edge of your seat right up to the ending credits. A worth while watch.

This movie makes you think about what the government really may be able to do. It kept me on my feet throughout the whole movie. A definite buy!

The movie is good to watch but when you reach the end it is there in a split second. And this ending is bad. I did not think that Will Smith would star such a film.

in this movie Will Smith stumbles upon a tape he doesnt even relize he has... the NSA (National Security Agency) uses high tech tracking methods to find him and attempt to kill him he gets help from an X NSA Agent Gene Hackman while trying to keep his marage together at the same time and fighting for his life. This movie has some profanity.

In Enemy of the State, Will Smith plays a lawyer named Robert Clayton Dean, who was passed sensitive materials of a congressmans murder.The NSA chases him using sophisticated tracers, and Dean has to turn to a friends employer, Brill(Gene Hackman)for help.A non-stop thrill ride of unexpected turns.Also with Seth Green(at least I think its him!)

Will Smith may surprise you. He doesn't seem like a leading man, but he does a good job of playing a framed lawyer caught in an NSA conspiracy.
The movie itself plays well, and, surprisingly, you get the idea that Will is actually in danger of being erased from ever existing.Jon Voight(Mission Impossible) is excellent as the head of the NSA who would be happy if everybody would just let him do whatever he wants to.
Bottom line: Smith, Hackman, and Voight are great, some nice car chases, explosions, and even a nice cameo by Gabriel Byrne.
If the rental is late and you haven't seen it, its worth paying the charge for.Was this review helpful? Yes - Nowill smith is a fun one to watch
