User Reviews: Enemy At the Gates (2001)

  • Overall:

    RIVETING and REALISTIC !!!

By Jeff  Aug 21, 2001 | 1 out of 1 found this Enemy At the Gates (2001) review helpful

The movie allowed its audience to clarify what combat was like in WWII. Rachel Weisz was breathtaking and sexy. Great use of camera angles and camera work. Two thumbs up, war buffs alike will love this film.

  • Overall:

    Enemy at the Gates

    By David  Nov 21, 2003

    Pros: Accuracy; attention to detail

Cons: Casting of Bob Hoskins and Rachel Weisz

A graffic, thorough and somber retelling of the siege of Stalingrad, via a footnote incident surrounding that siege.
Not the kind of film that will get multiple viewings, but
an important addition to the cinematization of World War II.
