to the ppl giving lousy reviews......

I can understand some of you not caring for this particular type of music, but don't call them talentless.... If you were a musician, you would understand that all of the riffs on each instrument (that's drums, bass, and guitar for you retards out t...here) aren't exactly easy to play; most of them appear that way on the surface until you listen closer to the complexity of their sound. Also, the vocals and lyrics are much more in-depth than their modern day counterparts. Mudvayne has been coined "math metal" which is very much accurate, since music is made up primarily of math.... sorry we can't go back to your so-called glory days of hair metal and prog rock, but mudvayne is bringing a new sound (and yes, it's very much different from korn and limp bizkit you dumbasses)... So, I think this cd is very good and worth checking out... Read more Less

    Stifle the indignation

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 21, 2002 | 1 out of 1 found this End of All Things to Come review helpful

It's rather bothersome to here people compare MuDvAyNe to other bands. Mainly, because they've set themselves apart from any nu-metal band. This recent CD is damn good. The music hits, hard. The lyrics, show intelligence in, not only the concepts..., but in its entire foundation. They F'N rock and eventually, if they keep it up, they'll F'N rule!! Read more Less

    Totally Unoriginal

Mudvayne is no execption. Same riffs, same beats, and same lyrics all over. Mudvayne and Slipknot are just too overhyped. Real metal would be Deicide, Sepultura, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Chimaira, Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Slayer, and Pantera.

    good lyrics?!?!?!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 16, 2003

I must admit Ive only heard 3 songs off this cd (but Ive heard them over and over and over). I am amazed that reviewers say the lyrics are deep. What?!?!?! "World so Cold" sounds like a 7th grader making a weak attempt at social issues.... The line about children suffering is laughable and sounds like Creed...who is probably one of the worst bands of all time. Read more Less

All this nu-metal and mainstream stuff has been pissing me off lately so its nice to see a newer band really come up with some good music. Thumbs up for Mudvayne!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 11, 2003

the lyrics rule and "Shadow of a Man" shows how the band has progressed, it shows how they sound soft, yet it also shows how hard they are comparible to a "-1 and dig cross" i don't know that just me, and yes rhyknow IS 10 tim...es better than feildy because rhyknow isn't a complement to the music, he is a major part, him and guurg complement each other equally. i am intensely awaiting there junior album and seeing how they progress Read more Less

This album definitly has a different feel than their first one. L.D. 50 really took me a long time to get used too. Ill be honest i really didnt like mudvayne when i first got L.D. 50. But i did not give them a chance really, i just skimmed throug...h their tracks and passed them off as another 'angry metal band' however i gave them and L.D. 50 second chance and omg that is now my fav album, i just never get tired of any of their songs. However this is what strikes me as being different on this new album. The songs and overall sound are not quite as difficult to become accustomed to. They still rock as hard but the songs are a bit more 'listener friendly' i suppose. However i still dont quite like it as much as i do L.D. 50. Basically because of L.D. 50's originality and song structures. Either way this is another great mudvayne album that you should definitly put on your list. Read more Less
