Taking their name from the J.G. Ballard novel which became a 1987 Steven Spielberg film, Australia's largerthanlife electroglampop duo Empire of the Sun features the Sleepy Jackson's Luke Steele and Pnau's Nick Littlemore. Steele worked with Pnau on "With You Forever" from the band's 2007 selftitled third album, and the pair liked collaborating so much that they started their own project, which drew inspiration from the likes of Phoenix and Daft Punk.
