    Empire Records is a win!

Pros: The whole movie is wonderful!

Cons: The acting on the female side isn't too great.

This is one of the greatest movies of all time. It's very, very, VERY funny, and it has the whole love story element mixed in. With such hilarious charecters the only bad part is that Rene Zellwager and Liv Tyler just weren't great actors at ...this point. The basic plot is- it's Rex Manning (Played by Maxwell Caulfield) Day! This old singer/ actor from the once popular tv show "The Family Way". He has just released a new album and is visiting a local record shop- Empire Records. Meanwhile, the owner of the store wants to sell to Music Town- a big corporate company. So Lucas (Rory Cochrane) goes to Atlantic City to try and raise funds. He makes $1800 dollars and then looses it all in one go. So when the whole group of people find out- this means trouble. Meanwhile Deb is undergoing all kinds of trouble and came to work and shaved her head. AJ (Johnny Whitworth) has to tell Cory (Liv Tyler) that he loves her by 1: 37 exactly. But she wants to lose her virginity to Rex Manning- and here's her chance! And- shoplifter! Introduce Warren Baity (Brenden Sexton III). Gina (Rene Zelwager) has her own troubles because she can't make herself sing in a band even though it's what she wants more than anything. Joe (Anthony LaPiglia), the manager, has to convince Mitchell, the owner, that his money is still there- Lucas just forgot to deposit it!The ending explodes in hilarity and LOTS of dancing. And make sure you stick after for the credits for a little extra joke ;) The movie all falls together and BAM! One of my favorite movies of all time. Read more Less
