While singer/songwriter Elvis Perkins' folk has earned comparisons to the likes of Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, he is also known as the son of actor Anthony Perkins and photographer Berry Berenson (who died during 9/11). Raised in Los Angeles and New York, he started playing guitar in high school and took lessons from Prescott Niles of the Knack.
