Tejano singer Elsa Garcia has been involved in music for over ten years and not only performs and records, she also produces and arranges her own albums, making her the sole female producer in the Tejano music industry. Her signature tune is "La Luna," which she recorded early on in her career. She is the daughter of singer Hermelinda Escamilla -- her stage name was Linda La Nortena, and she toured with such performers as Las Hermanas Huerta and Vicente Fernandez. Before coming to music, Garcia had worked at different jobs including deejay, accountant, and banker. She also hosted her own radio talk show.
