    This is the debut solo recording of the guitarist and vocalist for Detroit rock group Stunning Amazon. Inspired by Joni Mitchell and Karen Carpenter, Kubat sought to create a folk-pop, song-oriented opus standing in stark contrast to the brash guitar rock that crowded Top 40 charts as this album hit the street. Kubat sings the album in a style very much akin to Joni Mitchell's classic '60s approach. The beauty of it is the simplicity of it. She accompanies her own poetry, written from her soul and delivered warmly and elegantly, merely on muted acoustic guitar.

Audra Kubat

Singer/songwriter Audra Kubat became one of the Motor City's select female voices during the late '90s, incorporating folk-rock and indie pop stylings. She and her group Stunning Amazon became a household act among local clubs and coffeehouses, also receiving airplay on Detroit radio.
