P.T. Deuterman is terrific, the best new suspense writer I've read in years. Great action, interesting characters (men and women), and a plot that never lets up.
The rare book that addresses the complexities of war at the front and also at home. Brian and Maddy are rich, flawed characters, and the supporting cast is equally believable. The author captures the Vietnam period and its confusion perfectly. Particularly interesting is the culture depicted on board the Hood.
