Edgar Kennedy Two-Reeler Comedy Collection (2003)

This collection includes ten of the 103 shorts that Edgar Kennedy, the king of the "slow burn," made during his time at RKO Studios. These shorts, precursors to the sitcoms of the 1950's star Kennedy as a character that came to be known as "Mr. Average Man," who was the head of a zany family. Titles include "Help Wanted: Female" (1930), "Good Housewrecking" (1933), "Wrong Direction" (1934), "Will Power" (1936), "Beaux and Errors" (1938), "Baby Daze" (1939), "Rough on Rents" (1942). "Hold Your Temper" (1943), "Feather Your Nest" (1944), and "I'll Build It Myself" (1946). (This DVD release includes the titles in Volumes 1 & 2 of the EDGAR KENNEDY COMEDY COLLECTION issued on VHS).
