Eddie Edwards
A founding member of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, and a superb rhythmic player and force in that group's success. Edwards began playing violin at 10, then took up trombone at 15. He played in local New Orleans brass bands as a teenager, among them Stein's Dixie Jass Band. He then helped found The Original band, and cocomposed a number of pieces that became standards.
