This album was okay. It wasn't what I expected to be. He has some good songs on the album that I would call baby making songs. Just a couple, but overall it's a good album.

Last review of Avant's debut album MY THOUGHTS, I claimed Avant had a long way to come. After his debut suffered a pretty mild case of schizophrenia and cliches, ECSTASY shows how long of a way he's come. Now the everything about this album is just p...leasurable entertainment with spotless and impeccable production from Steve "Stone" Huff, laced with breathless synths, rhythms, and better lyrics than that of the first album."Call On Me" kicks off the mood very winsomely as well as the track proceeding that "What Do You Want." Then smooths it out perfectly with beautifully written ballads "Don't Say No, Just Say Yes," which I feel is the best song on this album. Then the very sensual "Makin' Good Love," an appealing single not afraid of what it's singing about.Some of the raps don't register very well on this album, especially on "Six in Da Morning," which is a song kept on an average level throughout. But it's easily redeemed by the solid ballad following "You Ain't Right," featuring the equally soulful Charlie Wilson, making the song reaching to the highest level much like Steve Huff did with the well written tracks on The Isley Brother's ETERNAL.Much of Avant's newest album is priceless fun, and I'm glad he's come to his senses this time around.
